Position Title
Manager- Manufacturing Engineer (Cable Division)
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the cable/ conductor manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient and safe production processes, maintaining product quality, and meeting organizational goals related to cost, output, and profitability.
The role also involves leading a large team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Lead end-to-end power cable manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, timely delivery, process efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop production managers, engineers, supervisors, and operators while driving a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and high performance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications; oversee quality controls, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintenance & Asset Management: Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance, high equipment uptime, effective asset utilization, and availability of critical spares.
- HSE: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and drive initiatives to minimize workplace incidents.
- Cost & Budget Management: Manage plant budgets and drive cost optimization across materials, energy, manpower, and processes while monitoring key operational KPIs.
- Supply Chain & Vendor Management: Ensure timely availability of raw materials, optimize inventory, and manage key supplier/vendor relationships.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, manage audits, and implement corrective actions.
- Projects & CAPEX: Lead capacity expansion, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and CAPEX projects within approved timelines and budgets.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, senior management, customers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to align plant operations with business objectives.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics, Polymer, or related field.) or equivalent.
Experience:
15+ years of experience in managing plant operations with at least 3 years as production Head in capital goods transmission or cable conductor manufacturing sector
