Our Consultants become trusted advisors to our clients, working alongside other client stakeholders to ensure delivery and technical excellence. As a Fabric Consultant, you will lead by example and work hands-on alongside your teammates on delivery - as well as providing high-level guidance and advice to our customers.

Your key responsibilities as a Senior / Lead Consultant - Native Android Mobile Developer at Fabric:

  • Work under autonomy with a self-driven attitude to own problems and deliver solutions
  • Understand the complex business and technical problems, learn quickly, understand tradeoffs and communicate a solution
  • Capability to research alternative solutions and propose them within given constraints
  • Apply different languages and technologies to your projects while coding side by side with other developers on your team
  • Implementing continuous delivery practices to accelerate the delivery of new valuable functionality to its intended users
  • Applying test-driven development practices to ensure high quality of the software, and reduce future effort and cost on implementing changes to the product
  • Contribute to establishing and growing the organisation’s mobile development team, including shaping processes, best practices, and technical standards.
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced mobile engineers in Fabric family and in our clients’ tech teams, hosting tech meetups and our community events to share your expertise with others
  • Advising our clients on the right technical decisions and advocating for the right practices to use
  • Being an ambassador for Fabric, promoting our values and the practices we use to make sure we build the software right
  • Participate in interviewing and recruitment based on business needs
  • Generate thought leadership content relevant to your role to support our marketing department in social media activities and meetups
  • Write maintainable, efficient, and scalable code, rigorously adhering to Android coding standards and best practice
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Take full ownership of assigned projects or components, proactively identifying areas for improvement and leading technical discussions to enhance solutions
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers, sharing expertise to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Participate actively in architectural and design decisions, demonstrating a strong grasp of software design principles and scalability
  • Seek out growth opportunities to deepen technical expertise and keep the team informed of emerging best practices

The skills you would need to be a Senior / Lead Consultant - Native Andorid Mobile Developer:

7+ years of hands-on experience in Mobile Software Engineering, focusing on scalable architecture and development Proficiency in developing for the Android Platform and frameworks relevant to the role Experience in the complete Android Development lifecycle, from design, testing, signing, releasing, fixing and beyond Understanding of Android’s design principles and interface guidelines Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
