Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
- Provide second-line support for database-related incidents, requests, and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, availability, and reliability issues.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain database solutions.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities to support business and operational needs.
- Plan database capacity and availability, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance through proactive maintenance and performance analysis.
- Implement changes in accordance with ICT change management processes and procedures.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base materials.
- Manage database incidents and contribute to problem resolution and root cause analysis.
- Prepare and deliver reports on database operations, performance, and support activities.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a related domain.
- Possession of Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associates
- Proven experience administering complex Microsoft SQL Server environments deployed across distributed environments.
- Strong expertise in database optimization, performance tuning, capacity planning and bottlenecks using SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).
- Hands-on experience with SQL scripting, ETL processes, data transformation, and cloud-based data services.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and services
- Experience designing solutions across cloud, on-premises, serverless, containerized, and hybrid environments.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Fabric tools and services.
- Solid experience with database monitoring, including performance monitoring tools such as DBPlus Performance Monitor.
- Expertise in creating and managing Always On deployments and recovery models, backup strategies.
- Hands-on experience administering virtualized infrastructures and a good understanding of other Microsoft technologies and platforms.
- Proactive, self-motivated team player with strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving technologies and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Eligibility to obtain an EU Personal Security Clearance, at a later stage is required.
- Very good command of English (minimum B2 level).
