Your mission

We are looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team in Loovälja, Estonia.   In this pivotal role, you will ensure the safe and successful delivery of Elcogen’s cross-functional new product development and launch projects, guiding them from concept and detailed development through validation, industrialization, and transfer into serial production. You will be accountable for project timelines and budgets, while ensuring that performance and quality standards are met in line with project objectives and overall company targets.   If you have solid experience managing product development, industrialization, or new product introduction projects in a manufacturing environment, enjoy contributing to the green energy transition, and are excited by the opportunity to shape ways of working in a scaling organization, this could be the perfect role for you. The role is based at our brand-new factory in Loovälja, Estonia, and offers flexible working arrangements, including remote work options. Company-organized bus transportation is available between Tallinn and the factory. Your tasks

  • Plan, lead, and deliver new product development and launch projects within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets

 

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across product development, testing, procurement, industrialization, quality, and supply chain teams

 

  • Maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocation, risks, actions, and key decisions

 

  • Promote innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions based on best practices and lessons learned

 

  • Ensure effective stakeholder collaboration and project reporting to the PMO

 

  • Drive change management in accordance with Elcogen processes

 

  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and deviations

 

  • Capture and share project feedback, benchmarks, and lessons learned

 

  • Drive continuous improvement in project management and launch readiness practices

 

Your profile

  • 5+ years of experience managing product development projects in manufacturing industries (e.g. fuel cell, chemical, or electronics industries)

 

  • Proven experience managing product development, industrialization, or new product introduction projects

 

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in technical manufacturing, product development, or production environments

 

  • Good understanding of quality planning tools and launch deliverables, such as DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, validation plans, and production readiness reviews

 

  • Excellent ability to remain structured and effective under pressure

 

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including planning, risk management, stakeholder management, cost control, and change management

 

  • Fluent written and spoken English

 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and experience with structured problem-solving methods

 

  • MSc degree in Engineering or a related discipline; alternatively, technical secondary education combined with relevant proven industry experience

 

  • Willingness to travel to Finland approximately once per month

Viewed as a strong plus:   

  • PM Certification is a plus
  • Experience working in a scale-up, fast-growing, or changing business environment is considered an advantage
