We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Square One team in Austin, TX . Project Manager’s (Project Manager I) are entry level, self-starters, motivated and detail oriented. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of projects by assisting Project Managers II, III and IV with day-to-day project work, contributing to team leadership, and engaging in personal development opportunities. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within the firm while working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to represent the Owner’s best interests. The role requires most of your time on project performance, some on personal development, and the rest on staying informed about marketplace activities, with minimal involvement in financial performance, marketing, operations, or firm leadership at this stage. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assist Project Managers II–IV in coordinating project tasks with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Help develop project plans, track schedules and budgets, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals under guidance to ensure project alignment and quality.
  • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and quality.
  • Support financial tasks including pay applications, invoices, cost tracking, and change orders.
  • Prepare meeting notes, monthly reports, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Engage in professional development, training, and learning opportunities.
  • Understand, adhere and participate in the Raba Kistner Health and Safety and (BBS) Programs and set a good safety example
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience. Six to ten years related experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • No prior experience required, though internships or project coordination experience are a plus.
  • Interest in learning project management fundamentals, construction methods, cost estimating, contract documentation, and scheduling.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet company’s auto insurability requirements.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Project. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
