Full description

Sydney CBD | Full-Time | On-Site (5 Days)

WHO WE ARE Founded in 2013 as Scape Australia, leaders in student housing, we've since grown into a vertically integrated living platform known as The Living Company; managing $17B in assets across Student Living (Scape), Rent to Live – Affordable Housing (RTL Co.), and Retirement Living (Aveo); spanning site origination, investment, planning, design, development, construction, and operations.

The Living Company is reshaping the way Australians live by delivering sustainable, community-driven, and high-quality spaces across the country.

THE ROLE As the Business Intelligence Lead, you'll be a key player in how data is visualised and consumed across our property portfolios. You'll be the go-to for analytics and dashboard delivery, owning requirements, design, build, iteration and maintenance of our BI products.

You'll manage your own stakeholder relationships and build directly on top of a modern Snowflake-based data platform, working across both Tableau and Power BI, with a future platform decision to be shaped with your input.

Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):

  • Owning the quality, reliability and fitness-for-purpose of analytics and dashboards across TLC
  • Maintaining and supporting existing reports and dashboards across the business
  • Building out the retirement living analytics layer as our EDW comes online, replacing reports built directly on source tables
  • Assessing and revamping the existing student living dashboard suite
  • Working with analytics engineers to define data requirements and shape the data products you need
  • Building strong relationships across the business, including GMs, operational managers and finance teams
  • Running requirements sessions, translating business needs into dashboard solutions, and iterating based on feedback
  • Lifting BI literacy and self-service capability across stakeholder groups
  • Delivering across Tableau and Power BI, writing SQL as needed for analysis, data investigation and prototyping
  • Contributing to the evaluation and selection of our long-term BI platform

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 3–5 years in a BI, analytics or reporting role with a strong delivery track record
  • Hands-on experience with both Tableau and Power BI, with a view on the trade-offs
  • Experience building dashboards on a modern cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake
  • Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing queries to investigate data, prototype metrics and support your own development work
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and improve underperforming dashboards
  • Familiarity with dimensional data models, and knowing when to push logic back to the database rather than the BI tool
  • Proven ability to independently manage stakeholders, including running requirements sessions and presenting to senior audiences
  • Experience in consulting, start-up or a similarly fast-paced environment highly regarded
  • Experience in property, real estate or operational businesses with complex data environments highly regarded

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?

  • Be part of a purpose-led organisation shaping how Australians live
  • Exposure to a large, diversified living platform with real scale and complexity
  • Strong focus on wellbeing, growth, and inclusive culture
  • Competitive rewards, recognition programs, and lifestyle benefits
