Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial / Audit Readiness Analyst with strong data analytics capabilities to support financial management, audit readiness, and compliance initiatives. This role will leverage Power BI and other data analytics tools to analyze financial data, identify risks, and enhance reporting transparency. The ideal candidate has experience with ERP systems (preferably GFEBS or DEAMS) and a solid understanding of federal financial processes and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support audit readiness efforts, including preparation of documentation, walkthroughs, and remediation of audit findings
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of risk or non-compliance
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support leadership decision-making
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across multiple financial systems
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, audit, and program stakeholders)
  • Support ERP system data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Document business processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit artifacts
  • Track and report status of audit findings and corrective action plans

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to receive a Secret Clearance)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, audit readiness, or accounting support
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, visualization)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of financial data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Palantir’s MAVEN platform, including data ingestion, analysis, and visualization to enhance operational decision-making. Experience with GFEBS and/or DEAMS
  • Knowledge of federal financial management and audit standards (e.g., FIAR, GAO, OMB Circular A-123)
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal audit readiness initiatives
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and internal controls frameworks
  • Experience with additional analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau)
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CDFM, CGFM, or CIA
