Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Will be responsible for fundamental analysis; implementation; training; report writing; testing; maintenance; and documentation of applicable systems
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Applications Director
CONTACTS: Elwyn Staff; Software Vendors and Support Staff
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree required, preferred in Information Technology, with at least 3 years related experience
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Participate in short term and long term planning
- Meet deadlines
- Manage multiple projects
- Develop and manage simple project plans
ANALYSIS:
- Perform data gathering and analysis
- Consult with internal to identify needs and problems
- Research intermediate system problems
- Evaluate and propose system solutions
- Facilitate the capture and documentation of functional and technical requirements from internal departments in order to design and develop system modifications.
- Review business requirements
TESTING:
- Verify accuracy of results during testing against specifications
- Assist with unit testing, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and track issues
- Perform tests of new process and or modifications verifying processes, performing any necessary debugging
- Assist in the development and writing of test plans

- Assist, advise and participate in Quality Assurance activities including the creation of test data and the execution of test scripts
IMPLEMENTATION:
- Assist in the implementations of new projects with other team members and project leader
TRAINING
- Prepare documentation for end user training
- Train end users
REPORTING
- Insure accuracy of report data
- Capture requirements, design, create, manage and fulfill requests for reports from end users
- Document report specifications
MAINTENANCE:
- Maintain documentation on customizations
- Set up logins and passwords for end users
- Conduct periodic quality assurance routines to identify trends and weaknesses
- Implement database modifications
- Work in conjunction with subject matter experts to research and resolve systems problems
- Provide support for environment upgrade implementation testing
- Create and execute validation queries to ensure integrity of data
DOCUMENTATION
- Prepare system documentation
- Write detailed system and functional specifications
- Devise flow charts and diagrams to illustrate and describe logical operational steps of the program
- Assist in the development, documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures that reflects agreed upon processes and policies
MISCELLANEOUS
- Maintain confidentiality
- Develop and pursue the necessary skills to support the needs and requirements of the department.
- Serve as a backup to other positions within the department.
- Install software applications
