This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect, Private Equity & M&A based in United States.

This is a strategic, client-facing leadership opportunity at the intersection of technology strategy, private equity, M&A, cybersecurity, and business transformation. You will work directly with investors, operating partners, portfolio company executives, and technology leaders to identify opportunities for technology-driven value creation. The role combines executive advisory, solutions architecture, technology due diligence, and business development across complex investment and transformation initiatives. You will help organizations assess technology risk, navigate acquisitions and integrations, modernize their environments, and improve operational performance. Your recommendations will connect technology investments to measurable outcomes such as growth, scalability, efficiency, risk reduction, and enterprise value. You will also contribute to strategic pursuits, thought leadership, and the continued development of a growing Private Equity and M&A practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced technology advisor who brings strong executive presence, commercial acumen, technical depth, and a passion for solving complex business challenges.

Accountabilities

  • Lead strategic client engagements from discovery and assessment through solution development and transition to delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with private equity sponsors, operating partners, investment teams, portfolio company executives, and technology leaders.
  • Understand investment objectives, growth strategies, operational challenges, technology risks, and value creation priorities, translating them into actionable technology strategies.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions and translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations and strategic insights.
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor throughout the client relationship and investment lifecycle.
  • Support technology due diligence, including assessments of infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, technology maturity, scalability, operational readiness, and associated risks.
  • Participate in acquisition, integration, carve-out, and separation initiatives, helping clients identify technology requirements, risks, dependencies, and investment priorities.
  • Support post-acquisition transformation and value creation programs focused on operational improvement and business performance.
  • Develop technology strategies aligned with growth objectives, investment plans, and long-term value creation goals.
  • Design solutions across managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation domains.
  • Develop business cases that demonstrate operational efficiency, risk reduction, scalability, return on investment, and potential earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop differentiated solutions that align technical capabilities with client needs and commercial objectives.
  • Support strategic pursuits, proposals, requests for proposal (RFPs), executive presentations, and finalist presentations.
  • Develop compelling value propositions that connect technology recommendations to measurable business and investment outcomes.
  • Contribute to account growth strategies and relationship development within the private equity ecosystem.
  • Support smooth transitions from sales pursuits into delivery and ongoing client engagements.
  • Represent the Private Equity and M&A practice through conferences, sponsor events, executive forums, networking opportunities, webinars, and industry discussions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and market insights that strengthen positioning and inform future service offerings.
  • Help develop reusable intellectual property, including technology due diligence frameworks, assessment methodologies, service catalogs, solution playbooks, pricing models, executive materials, and pursuit methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the consistency, scalability, and effectiveness of client engagements and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of client-facing experience in technology consulting, managed services, cybersecurity, IT outsourcing, digital transformation, solutions architecture, presales, strategic sales, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience leading complex pursuits, strategic client engagements, executive presentations, and solution development initiatives.
  • Experience supporting private equity firms, operating partners, investment teams, or portfolio companies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with technology due diligence, M&A integration, carve-outs, separation initiatives, or post-acquisition transformation is highly desirable.
  • Experience within a managed service provider (MSP), managed security service provider (MSSP), consulting firm, technology advisory practice, or IT services organization is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of managed services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, infrastructure, and technology operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect technology investments and solutions to business outcomes, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, scalability, and enterprise value.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including familiarity with return on investment, value creation, and operational improvement principles.
  • Exceptional discovery, facilitation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, compelling business language for executive and investment audiences.
  • Strong proposal development and commercial communication capabilities.
  • Experience developing business cases, solution strategies, and recommendations aligned with client objectives and commercial considerations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Proven ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous, fast-moving environments while maintaining strategic focus and strong execution.
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), cloud, cybersecurity, project management, or related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with value creation planning, operational improvement programs, or technology transformation initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong executive presence and confidence discussing technology strategy, cybersecurity risk, operational performance, profitability, growth, and business outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally based on client and business needs and provide after-hours support when required for critical incidents or escalations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work standard Monday–Friday business hours, with occasional after-hours availability for incidents or escalations.
