Sales Engineer selling fault monitoring equipment used by electric utilities for locating, predicting, and preventing grid faults.

The fault monitoring equipment:

● Finds fault locations within seconds and predicts potential problems before they happen.

● Optimize grid operations, reduce downtime, and enhance safety.

● Operates on medium and high voltage grids

Job content and duties

● Expand sales throughout assigned territory by calling on electric utilities

● New customer acquisition

● Develop proposals for customers

● Attend conferences and trade shows

Requirements

● Ideally based in the Western US or willing to travel extensively to the area.

● 5+ years of experience selling to the electrical power industry particularly in US power grid technologies used on distribution and transmission systems

● Ability to teach and relate ideas or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience

● B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the field of electric power engineering

● Experience in working with network protection, automation & control devices, IT and data communications

Salary up to $150,000 (DOE) with total compensation potential of $200,000+
