Job Description
As a Product Manager for Surgical Solutions at BD UK Limited, you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle management of our surgical solutions portfolio, driving strategic growth and market leadership within the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps for surgical solutions, aligning with global BD strategies and local market needs.
- Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new opportunities and unmet needs in the surgical market.
- Define product requirements, specifications, and features based on customer insights and clinical trends, ensuring a strong value proposition.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation and development through launch, post-launch monitoring, and end-of-life planning.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
- Develop and deliver compelling product training and sales enablement materials for the sales force and clinical specialists.
- Monitor product performance, market share, and profitability, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve business objectives.
- Support key customer engagements, including presentations, demonstrations, and clinical feedback sessions.
- Identify and implement pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting surgical solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management within the medical device industry, with a strong focus on surgical solutions or related areas.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing medical device products in the UK market.
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, procurement processes, and clinical practices in surgical settings.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills a plus.
- Ability to travel as required to meet business needs.
