Full description
Devsu is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex software development programs for our clients. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery across multiple technical teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical execution, timelines, resources, risks, and client expectations.
The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background with proven program management experience, ideally within software development, technology consulting, IT services, nearshore, or staff augmentation environments.
This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role requiring strong ownership, technical fluency, and the ability to operate effectively across distributed teams and multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software development programs across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Establish and manage program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, and delivery plans.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, architecture, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Act as a strategic point of contact for clients, providing clear communication around progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes.
- Identify and proactively manage cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, blockers, and escalations.
- Monitor program health through meaningful delivery, technical, financial, and quality metrics.
- Manage scope, timelines, resources, and budget, ensuring programs remain aligned with contractual and business objectives.
- Facilitate decision-making across technical and business stakeholders and drive accountability for outcomes.
- Ensure software development practices, SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and delivery standards are consistently followed.
- Partner with engineering leadership to identify technical risks and understand their impact on delivery and business outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, team performance, quality, and predictability.
- Provide executive-level reporting and communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to internal and client leadership.
- Coordinate distributed and cross-functional teams, often working across different locations, time zones, and organizational structures.
- 5+ years of experience in Project, Program, or Technical Program Management, preferably within software development or technology services.
- Previous experience working in software engineering, development, QA automation, DevOps, technical leadership, or another hands-on technical role is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing complex software programs involving multiple teams and workstreams.
- Experience in IT Services, Software Development, Technology Consulting, Staff Augmentation, Nearshore, or similar client-facing environments is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with engineering teams.
- Experience managing roadmaps, dependencies, risks, resources, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts involving APIs, cloud platforms, CI/CD, microservices, databases, integrations, and modern software architectures.
- Strong experience with stakeholder and client management, including executive-level communication.
- Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end accountability for program outcomes, not just coordination or reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using program metrics to assess delivery, quality, efficiency, and overall program health.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for IT consulting, software development, staff augmentation, nearshore, or managed services companies.
- Experience managing programs for US-based clients.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar program management platforms.
