Koniag Technology Solutions LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support the USDA Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC), Digital Services Center Division (DSCD), Enterprise SaaS Branch (ESB). This role will support multiple USDA task orders, primarily focused on the USDA Food and Nutrition Agency (FNA, previously known as FNS), with the ability to provide cross-functional support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hermit's Peak Claims and Loss Information Portal (CLIP) and the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) ATLAS program. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a remote opportunity.

The Senior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the full lifecycle development, testing, and deployment of Salesforce-based solutions across multiple customer programs. This includes building application enhancements, supporting UI/UX best practices, integrating third-party tools, and contributing to each customer's strategic product roadmap. The developer will work within an Agile methodology and collaborate closely with federal leads, business analysts, architects, and other contractors across a multi-contractor, multi-customer environment.
The developer will also leverage Tableau to build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making across USDA customer programs.
This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to shift priorities across task orders while maintaining high-quality deliverables and meeting the unique operational, technical, and security requirements of each customer.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Experience working on federal government IT contracts is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects or task orders within a government contracting environment.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
- Experience supporting SaaS-based cloud platforms in a large, complex enterprise environment.
- Prior experience supporting USDA agencies or federal civilian agencies such as FEMA, FNS/FNA, or AMS is a plus.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Salesforce Development:
- Proficiency in Salesforce configuration and development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and SOQL
- Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions or similar Salesforce industry clouds
- Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy application enhancements based on approved product requirements across multiple customer environments
- Strong understanding of No Code/Low Code development principles; ability to apply custom code only when necessary and with proper documentation and approvals
- Experience with Salesforce integration with third-party tools (e.g., DocuSign, Slack, Microsoft Teams, MuleSoft)
- Familiarity with OwnBackup or similar Salesforce backup and recovery tools
- Ability to perform data validation, reconciliation, and impact analysis on downstream systems
- Knowledge of Salesforce governance standards, technical best practices, and configuration management
- Experience conducting unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Ability to identify and minimize technical debt in current and future platform configurations
- Ability to adhere to consistent governance, technical standards, and methodologies across multiple customer task orders
Tableau:
- Experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports to support operational and program reporting needs across multiple customers
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable data visualizations
- Experience maintaining and updating dashboards on a weekly or as-needed basis per COR direction
- Ability to tailor reporting solutions to meet the unique needs of each customer program (FNA, FEMA, AMS)
Multi-Customer & Cross-Functional Support:
- Demonstrated ability to context-switch effectively across multiple task orders and customer environments without sacrificing quality
- Experience supporting programs with varying operational, technical, and security requirements
- Ability to maintain sufficient capacity to support surge requirements and manage deliverables across FNA, FEMA CLIP, and AMS ATLAS simultaneously when needed
- Strong understanding of how to apply shared governance and best practices consistently across different customer programs
Agile & Program Support:
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) for sprint tracking, backlog management, and burndown reporting
- Ability to contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups across multiple project teams
- Experience documenting requirements, configuration updates, and release notes for multiple concurrent programs
- Ability to support separate backlog and sprint management for each customer as required
Security & Compliance:
- Understanding of federal IT security requirements, including support for Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation
- Ability to comply with Section 508 accessibility standards in all development work
- Adherence to USDA IT policies, Supply Chain Risk Management (DR 3540-004), and data rights obligations
- Ability to meet unique security requirements specific to each customer, including FEMA/DHS and USDA agency standards
Communication & Collaboration:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-contractor, multi-customer environment, fostering transparency and information sharing
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across different agencies
- Ability to support customer-specific communications and contribute to stakeholder engagement across FNA, FEMA, and AMS programs

Technical Skills
- Experience with MuleSoft for API and integration development across on-premise and cloud environments
- Familiarity with DocuSign integration within Salesforce environments
- Experience with community/portal development within Salesforce (e.g., Experience Cloud)
- Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and integration approaches
- Experience with file-sharing solution integrations within Salesforce
- Familiarity with USDA Cloud Vault or similar government document management repositories
- Knowledge of SharePoint for documentation management
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and rapid prototyping methods
Program & Agency Knowledge
- Prior experience or familiarity with USDA Food and Nutrition Agency (FNA/FNS) programs, systems, or business processes
- Familiarity with FEMA disaster recovery programs, including claims management systems
- Knowledge of or experience supporting USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) programs or the ATLAS system
- Experience supporting phase-in/phase-out transitions on federal contracts
- Understanding of Inter-Agency Agreement (IAA) structures and how they impact service delivery
- Familiarity with USDA OCIO DISC organizational structure and service delivery model
Work Location
- Remote. Core business hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET, excluding federal holidays.
