About the role:

We are looking for a Data Engineer with hands-on Snowflake experience and fluent German to join a project for a major Swiss transportation client.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Several years’ experience (3–5 years) as a Data Engineer, including in-depth practical experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience in data modelling (ELT, dimensional modelling)
  • In-depth experience with dbt (development, testing and deployment of models)
  • Proficiency in using Git (branching strategies, pull requests; we use Bitbucket)
  • Basic understanding of containerization and deployment concepts in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, e.g. Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI or similar; understanding of automated builds, tests and deployments
  • Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation
  • Good command of German (minimum B2)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure services as an infrastructure layer (in particular Azure Key Vault, Entra ID, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory)
  • Experience with Helm Charts and Artifactory
  • Experience with Argo Workflows or comparable orchestration tools would be an advantage
  • Expertise in working with finance/investment data products
  • Experience in business analysis and requirements engineering
