About the Role
Cashfree Payments is looking for a Product Manager II to drive our Payouts business and help shape new product initiatives. Payouts is our API-based disbursal infrastructure that powers instant, at-scale money movement for thousands of businesses across India. You'll own a core product with significant growth ambitions while also getting the rare opportunity to work on 0-to-1 launches that will define the next phase of our platform.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to combine the rigor of scaling a mature API product with the creativity of building something new.
What You'll Do
- Own the Payouts product roadmap end to end — from problem discovery and prioritization to launch and adoption — with a clear mandate to accelerate revenue growth.
- Partner with engineering, design, and business teams to ship API-first products that are reliable, scalable, and easy for developers to integrate.
- Contribute to new product initiatives from the ground up, taking ideas through validation, early GTM, and iteration.
- Talk to customers regularly — understand disbursal workflows across payroll, lending, marketplaces, insurance, and more — and translate those insights into product bets.
- Work closely with compliance and banking-partner teams to navigate the regulatory landscape (RBI, NPCI) and turn constraints into differentiated product capabilities.
- Define and track the metrics that matter, running a tight loop between data, hypotheses, and shipped improvements.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product ops to drive adoption and expand within existing accounts.
What We're Looking For
- 4-7 years of product management experience, ideally with meaningful time spent on B2B, API, or platform products.
- A strong bias for ownership — you're comfortable operating with ambiguity and driving outcomes without waiting to be told what to do.
- Demonstrated ability to grow a product's usage or revenue, not just ship features.
- Fluency with data; you can pull your own numbers, form hypotheses, and make decisions from evidence.
- Strong technical intuition — you can hold your own in architecture and API-design conversations with engineers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across engineering, business, and leadership.
- Curiosity about fintech, payments, and the Indian regulatory environment (prior exposure is a strong plus, not a hard requirement).
Bonus Points
- Experience with payments, disbursements, lending, or other regulated fintech domains.
- Track record of taking a new product from zero to first customers.
- Startup or high-growth environment experience.
