About Us

Greenbrook Medical is building the new standard in primary care.

We deliver high-touch, relationship-based care through neighborhood clinics, grounded in a simple belief: every senior deserves the kind of care we would want for our own families. Our model prioritizes time with patients, strong care coordination, and a personalized approach that improves outcomes while lowering total cost of care.

We take full accountability for patient outcomes and overall cost of care, aligning clinical excellence with disciplined execution. That commitment shows up in our results, including a patient Net Promoter Score of 90, compared to 32 for typical healthcare organizations.

Rooted in Tampa Bay and partnered with Tampa General Hospital, we are entering an exciting phase of growth. Backed by strong unit economics, experienced operators, and a proven playbook, we are looking for builders and operators who want to help scale a healthcare platform designed to deliver better care, better coordination, and better outcomes for seniors.

About The Role

We're hiring our first dedicated data person. This person will build on our existing data platform, harden it to ensure consistent performance and build upon our metric library to ensure that our operators can monitor performance across all of our levers.

Success in this role means end to end ownership, from data platform to metric delivery and visualization in dashboarding tools

As Data and Analytics Engineer, you own four things:

  • The analytics layer: the dbt models and business logic that turn raw data into something usable, and the metric definitions underneath them
  • Reporting and BI: the reporting layer the whole business reads from
  • Our production systems: you take ownership of systems as they come in-house from our engineering partner, harden them, and keep making them better, with accountability for uptime & system integrity
  • The partnership with our engineering team: you are the internal counterpart who knows both the business and the systems well enough to resolve most issues directly

This is a build-and-own role. Our engineering partner stands up a new capability; you take it on once it is live, harden it, and keep improving it. You work as their peer rather than their coordinator. You also partner closely with the pop health team (who owns our value drivers) in defining metrics and deciding together what the business needs to see. You report to the VP of Growth and Population Health.

Location: New York City strongly preferred (Hybrid). Open to exceptional remote candidates.

What You'll Do

Own the Analytics Layer

  • Build and maintain the dbt models and business logic our metrics and workflows depend on. Work within Google Cloud to iterate on our business logic and transformation infrastructure
  • Ensure consistency in definitions across all surfaces at Greenbrook
  • Work with the performance managers on what needs measuring and what good looks like in their areas

Take Ownership of What's in Production

  • Take on systems as they move from our engineering partner into steady state, and keep them healthy
  • Be accountable for uptime & system integrity – catch ingestion and pipeline issues or logic bugs and resolve them within our SLAs. Develop monitoring and uptime reporting.
  • Ensure a performant system. Optimize workloads and runtime
  • Keep improving what you take on rather than only maintaining it

Partner Across the Business

  • Be the counterpart our engineering partner can hand production work to, resolving what you can and escalating what needs them
  • Build dashboards to support organizational decisionmaking
  • Work closely with the business – sit in the operating meetings where the data gets used, so you know what decisions it feeds

What Success Looks Like

  • Data Trust: the business trusts the numbers, and you are ahead of issues rather than behind them
  • Reliability: systems transitioned to you stay healthy, and when they break they get fixed quickly
  • Coverage: the metrics our drivers depend on have a certified definition and a single source of truth
  • Delivery: the work you committed to for the quarter shipped
  • Metrics you'll own: delivery against committed quarterly work, and counterpart satisfaction among the performance managers and the Head of Population Health

About You

You bring:

  • Fluency in dbt and Python
  • Hands on experience with Health care datasets and interoperability frameworks which our business run on, including a deep understanding of claims, eligibility, EHR data, and frameworks such as FHIR and HL7
  • A solid grasp of business fundamentals, enough to partner with business and clinical managers on defining metrics rather than only building to spec
  • Experience owning production systems, including being the person who responds when something breaks
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A mindset grounded in our core values of Heart, Excellence, Accountability, Resilience, and Teamwork

You'll stand out if you:

  • Want to own a system deeply: you would rather take something into production, harden it, and keep improving it than move on to the next greenfield build
  • Get to root cause: you find out why a number is wrong rather than patching the symptom
  • Are AI-native: you live in modern AI tools to support your work
  • Communicate with clarity: you are comfortable explaining complex data to business users and communicate proactively
  • Own the outcome: high bias for action, follow through on commitments, and close loops without needing to be chased
