Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Specialist with 5 to 8 years of experience in Java development and AWS API Gateway to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services within the Java-AWS ecosystem. This role is critical to building high-performance, secure, and resilient microservices that power our cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping system architecture, driving engineering excellence, and enabling seamless integration across cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for developing RESTful APIs, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring robust CI/CD practices while mentoring junior developers and contributing to long-term technical strategy.

Location: Coimbatore

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and optimize APIs using AWS API Gateway, including configuration of throttling, quota management, security policies, and IAM roles
  • Implement and manage microservices architecture using domain-driven and event-driven design patterns
  • Deploy, manage, and scale applications using AWS cloud services in a cloud-native environment
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA teams to define and deliver new features in an agile environment
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation for system architecture, API design, and codebase
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline to automate testing and deployment processes
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software to improve performance, functionality, and reliability
  • Apply security best practices across application and API development
  • Monitor application and API performance, implementing optimizations for high availability and fault tolerance
  • Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices, including test-driven development and automation

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development and cloud-based backend systems
  • Strong expertise in AWS API Gateway, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS cloud services
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices using Spring Boot and Java
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization
  • Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to code quality and maintainability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within agile teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
