About the role

Insight Xcite is seeking Cyber Security Project Engineers in Herndon, Virginia, to support security engineering, architecture, accreditation, risk management, and secure enterprise systems. Level will be aligned to experience and the applicable customer requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess security architectures, controls, and engineering solutions for mission systems.
  • Support RMF, accreditation, authorization, and continuous-monitoring activities.
  • Identify cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities and coordinate effective remediation plans.
  • Prepare security plans, assessments, technical findings, status reports, and decision briefings.
  • Collaborate with system owners, engineers, operations teams, and customer security stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or information-system security.
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST security controls, risk assessment, vulnerability management, and authorization processes.
  • Experience developing or reviewing system security plans and related technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, project-coordination, and stakeholder-communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or other government customers.
  • Experience with cloud security, zero trust, DevSecOps, security automation, or enterprise infrastructure.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CAP, CCSP, or comparable credentials.

Applicants must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) to be considered for employment.

Work Location Requirement
