Senior Mobile QA Engineer

For our business partner — a leading company in the digital payments space — we’re looking for a Senior Mobile QA Engineer to take full ownership of quality across iOS and Android applications. The team is building a modern digital wallet enabling users to manage, move, and spend money seamlessly, with features such as instant card‑to‑card transfers, P2P payments, cash deposits, bill and tax payments, vehicle management, loyalty cards, insurance policies, travel eSIMs, and digital goods.

In this position, you’ll design and execute testing for complex financial flows, act as a quality gatekeeper for releases, and raise testing standards across the team. It’s a hands‑on senior role suited for someone with strong analytical thinking, structured test design, and excellent communication — ideal for professionals experienced in mobile fintech products.

This is a full‑remote role open to candidates across Romania, with the option to collaborate on CIM or B2B.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end testing of the mobile application (iOS & Android): functional, regression, usability, exploratory.

• Analyze business and functional specifications to define testing scope, identify risks, and design thorough test cases and scenarios.

• Validate multi‑device and cross‑platform consistency across OS versions, screen sizes, and device capabilities.

• Report clear, reproducible, well‑documented defects and verify fixes through structured regression testing.

• Test payment and transaction flows with a focus on data accuracy, security, and fintech‑specific edge cases.

• Collaborate closely with business and IT teams in an Agile environment, providing quality input throughout the development lifecycle.

• Mentor colleagues on test design and defect reporting, and contribute to improving quality standards across the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA experience, with strong hands‑on mobile testing on iOS and Android.

• Proven test design skills: requirements analysis, edge case identification, structured and maintainable test case writing.

• Ability to translate business requirements into Gherkin test cases.

• Experience conducting usability testing and understanding diverse user behaviors.

• Solid experience with bug tracking and test management tools (ClickUp experience is a plus, not mandatory).

• Basic SQL skills for data validation and familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).

• Strong written and verbal communication in English; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Nice to have: experience in fintech/payments.

• Nice to have: experience writing automated test scripts for mobile applications.
