Join an international project in the Pharma & Life Sciences sector, focused on developing modern technology solutions supporting processes related to biosample data.

The Portal is a platform that integrates data related to human biosamples from clinical and non-clinical trials, as well as other biosample-related data, including study data, subject data and reference data.

The platform provides FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) biosample data from both clinical and non-clinical sources.

Supports Pharma Biosample Services by providing enriched and clean data and enabling more efficient data flows. The data is consumed for operational and analytical purposes, supporting business processes such as sample data flow, quality control and data search.

Data extracted and transformed by system is made available to scientists through the Biosample Portal, a visualization tool that enables users to search for biosamples stored across internal and external repositories.

This is you

• Previous experience in software development within enterprise projects or products.

• Strong understanding of microservice architectures, principles and patterns.

• Expert knowledge of Java / Backend technologies.

• Knowledge of other JVM-based technologies.

• Knowledge of Kotlin – nice to have.

• Good knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL.

• Good knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit and Testcontainers, with practical experience in TDD and BDD.

• Strong understanding of cloud computing models: IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.

• Experience with containers and a strong DevOps mindset.

• Excellent knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

• Ability to deploy your own code to production is a plus.

• Experience developing software products using Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and effectively solve problems.

• Experience with mentoring and supporting other developers.

• Fluent English.

• Design and implement new features and conduct technical spikes.

• Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality code.

• Provide support for critical production issues when needed.

• Support the team in areas of software engineering, quality assurance and validation.

• Cooperate with internal partners on product status and technological consulting.

• Interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Prepare specifications and analyze functional and technical requirements.

• Design solutions and create technical documentation.

• Estimate individual scopes of work and their effort.

• Support the team in architectural and technical decision-making.

• Share knowledge and provide mentoring to less experienced team members.
