ROLE SUMMARY
The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring data quality and managing exception-related issues. This position requires a strong understanding of the business rules and operations for Solid Waste, Industrial, and National Accounts clients. The role involves close collaboration with Vendor Relations, Client Services, the Data Quality Manager, Accounting, and IT to address and resolve exceptions in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Emphasis is placed on maintaining high data integrity, ensuring process efficiency, and delivering reliable solutions to complex challenges.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Data Quality and Integrity
Maintain data quality by implementing and improving processes that ensure proactive front-end Master Pricing (DUB) and Purchase Order (PO) data integrity. Responsible for accurate and up-to-date data management in systems like Smartsheet, the data warehouse, and Phaseware. Collaborate with IT to identify and address data gaps.
Exception Management
Manage the full lifecycle of exceptions, from initial identification to resolution. Process a high volume of exceptions in tools such as Scan & Capture and Quest Core. Accurately research, track, and resolve exceptions, including understanding exception codes and their solutions.
Data Updates and Maintenance
Ensure timely and accurate system updates for vendor CPIs, client CPIs, service level changes, cost-saving initiatives, and market alignments. Manage one-off service level updates through the user interface. Review the business rules when updating the data warehouse or approving updates from Vendor Relations or Client Services. Analyze the updates and challenges from the requester as needed. Review PO frequency and closed market revenue/cost data monthly before PO generation.
Collaboration and Communication
Partner closely with internal teams, including finance and accounting, client services, and vendor relations, to address issues and ensure seamless operations. Communicate effectively with vendors and colleagues to resolve discrepancies and build trustworthy relationships.
Process Efficiency and Problem-Solving
Process, organize, and prioritize a variety of documents, reports, and records with high attention to detail. Provide problem-solving resources and develop solutions for complex issues. Continuously enhance processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
