Reporting to the Manager, Product & Design, the Product Manager II plays an important role in defining and delivering complex product initiatives that align with business strategy and customer needs. This role owns the end to end product lifecycle from strategic planning and post-launch performance analysis. Serves as a cross functional partner driving collaboration between stakeholders, designers, engineers and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment. Leads data driven decisions for continuous improvement efforts of existing solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Requirement Gathering Partners with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to define product vision and translate strategic objective complexities to an actionable roadmap with well-defined requirements. 2. Portfolio Execution Drives prioritization of complex solution enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resolving competing demands through data driven decision-making. 3. Product Lifecycle Collaborates with design, engineering and customer success teams to evaluate post launch outcomes and refine future improvements based on user insights. 4. Agile Methodology Participates in Agile functions including Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives and Daily Stand Ups as required. 5. Acceptance Criteria Establishes measurable indicators of success and works closely with QA and engineering to validate that deliverables fulfill business expectations before launch. 6. Market Intelligence Conducts market research and competitive analysis to influence product positioning and feature differentiation strategies. 7. Documentation Creates and reviews essential product materials to maintain alignment and clarity across all collaborating teams. 8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Computer Science or related discipline is required.
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant product management, marketing, strategic planning or a combination of this experience required.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
- Proficient understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Strong knowledge of user-centric product development, ensuring the user needs and feedback are integrated throughout the product’s lifecycle to drive intuitive and impactful solutions.
- Strong knowledge of product documentation including User Guides, FAQ’s and Release Notes.
- Strong knowledge in conducting competitive and market analysis.
- Analytical thinking to assess user and stakeholder feedback to identify potential future enhancements.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA and business teams.
- Ability to support user acceptance testing and interpret test results to determine product readiness.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- Certification such as Pragmatic Institute, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Agile Methodologies, would be preferred.
- No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS – ENVIRONMENT

- Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
