Job Description

  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
  • Consistently completes projects without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
  • Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
  • Manages more complex clients and projects.
  • Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
  • Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
  • Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.
  • Manages project budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasting to ensure optimal utilization and cost control.
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics, providing regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across all assigned projects.
  • Mentors and develops junior Project Managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 20 years of progressive project management experience, with substantial background in Project Management Consulting (PMC) firms
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, multi-million dollar project portfolios across diverse client bases
  • Proven track record of consistent profit margin delivery and revenue realization from client projects
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management methodologies, particularly in identifying and mitigating Risk Triggering Factors (RTF)
  • Extensive experience managing projects with engineering components or technical complexity
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including budget management, P&L responsibility, and financial forecasting
  • Proven leadership experience directing and mentoring multiple Project Managers and project teams
  • Strong understanding of claims management and exposure mitigation strategies
  • Proficiency in project management tools, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and financial management software
  • Excellent stakeholder management and strategic relationship-building capabilities with C-suite and enterprise clients

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • Experience in PMC or consulting environments managing enterprise-level programs
  • Background in engineering project delivery or technical project management
  • Expertise in risk quantification and advanced financial modeling
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies
  • Track record of successful organizational change management and process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of industry-specific compliance and regulatory requirements
