POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Administrator is responsible for managing the product process flow from PO to Receipt. This includes data entry, tracking various shipments, alerting personnel of potential issues, and generally keeping the teams updated as the status of each product purchase (PO). This role also requires related data entry and management – processing invoices, generating freight billing and other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Mastery of required software packages.
  • Precise documentation of product status from once a PO is placed until it is received in the warehouse.
  • Maintaining tracking logs.
  • Inter-departmental communications beyond just status, including but limited to delays in the supply chain, inaccurate product documentation, discrepancies between POs and vendor invoices, etc.
  • Conducts general data mining and scrubbing for research and investigation projects.
  • Creates and maintains Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports as designated by management.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned, which may involve multiple departments.
  • Always contributing to process improvement.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as needed/requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience working in professional work environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate computer skills with the following systems: Inventory Software, Database Software, Internet, analytics software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Problem solving and attention are paramount for this role.
  • Ability to provide organizational support to assigned departments; follow policies and procedures, complete tasks correctly, accurately and meet deadlines. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence and high standards, strong work ethics, manage priorities and workflow, attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Gathering and analyzing logistics data to assess each step in the supply chain
  • Keeping tabs on the product flow process from materials acquisition to final delivery
  • Updating databases with logistics data
  • Developing, evaluating and revising logistics policies, procedures and plans
  • Researching supply chain issues to identify potential problems and preemptively address them
  • Staying up to date on the latest innovations in logistics and what competitors are implementing
  • Addressing routine and unexpected disruptions in the supply chain to keep products moving.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Continuous sitting and use of hand by power grasping and fine manipulation and keyboarding.
  • This position is primarily a sedentary role that works indoors at a computer or desk area for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer and see color.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate verbally with end-users via the telephone.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Environment is a basic office environment with standard office equipment noises.
