Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Security Administrator to provide boundary protection support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Install, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, harden, maintain, and operate intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threats according to DoD security standards.
  • Perform complex analytics on boundary protection systems to protect system assets from compromise, data loss, and other requirements.
  • Perform DCO and DODIN operations.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in network administration and support. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+ certified. Must hold one of the following certifications: Palo Alto Network Security Professional; Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA); and Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA). Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall Engineer and/or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certifications desired. Experience with enterprise DOD boundary protection and CSSP operations. Extensive experience with enterprise level network architectures and configurations. Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution. Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Solid customer service and communication skills are critical as well as the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and appropriately in an empathetic and understanding manner. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
