As a Regional Product Development Manager (RPDM) at United Rentals, you will act as a single point of contact for Reliable Onsite Services products and services for strategic/key accounts within the Trade area, District or Region. You will act as the Reliable Onsite liaison with national account managers, government account managers, strategic account managers, and sales representatives from all Company business units. You will be a technical resource for Onsite Services, providing training and project support to customers for new and existing product lines, while educating other Company business units on Onsite Services products and applications. As an RPDM, you will drive incremental profitable revenue for the Onsite Services business within the company through lead sharing and trade area cooperation.

What you'll do:

  • Target and focus on the development of tools market share for Reliable Onsite Services division within District(s) or assigned geography
  • Work closely with Strategic Account Managers, Government Account Managers, National Account Managers and local Sales Representatives, to provide their larger customers Reliable Onsite Services custom solutions, services and knowledge expertise
  • Accompany Sales Representatives, as subject matter expert, on more complex sales calls and assist Sales Representatives in selecting the proper solutions to provide the customer with the most cost effective savings
  • In partnership with BMs, DMs, and OSRS, manage rate structure for larger projects to maximize return on investment in Reliable Onsite Services applications
  • Work closely with corporate sales/business intelligence, assist in providing leads to sales representatives using SFDC, Dodge, PEC and other information tools
  • Mentor BMs, OSRs, and service staff on Reliable Onsite Services applications and processes
  • Partnering with Region Fleet Director, assist in limiting underutilized assets through sales and marketing training and redistribution of equipment
  • Coordinate with operations on the oversight of specialty fleet movements between branches/districts to satisfy large projects and key account customer needs
  • Manage rate structure for larger projects to maximize return on investment
  • Develop & conduct Reliable Onsite Services training, to create awareness to drive growth and market share
  • Provide support for larger more complex solutions based selling projects
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 7 + years of solutions sell experience preferably in the Onsite Services sector
  • Firm working knowledge of existing and up and coming Onsite Services products/applications and how they are used in the rental market
  • Current valid driver's license with a safe driving record and the ability to travel 80% of the time within assigned territory
  • Strategic selling and advanced negotiation and customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and research skills
  • Able to properly asses, quote, and secure large projects through solution bases selling
  • Proficient with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software; Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Word, and Excel)
