This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst, Merchandising Systems based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to bridge technology and merchandising operations by delivering scalable business system solutions that support retail planning and merchandising functions. You will work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, optimize processes, and enhance enterprise applications. The position combines business analysis, solution design, system administration, and technical leadership in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in evaluating technologies, supporting implementations, and ensuring merchandising platforms continue to meet evolving business needs. Accountabilities: The Senior Business Systems Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for merchandising and planning systems, partnering with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support strategic business objectives.

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with merchandising and planning stakeholders to identify business needs and define system solutions.
  • Document business requirements, functional specifications, business cases, and technical documentation.
  • Evaluate software solutions and system architectures to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Design, configure, administer, and support merchandising, planning, allocation, and related retail applications.
  • Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and production readiness activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve business and technical issues.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics that support merchandising and planning operations.
  • Support application integrations, troubleshoot system interfaces, and ensure optimal platform performance.
  • Develop project plans for system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation initiatives.
  • Create end-user training materials, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and support user adoption.
  • Mentor junior team members while promoting best practices in business analysis and systems management.
  • Ensure applications continue to meet evolving business requirements and organizational goals.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience supporting retail merchandising technologies, strong business analysis skills, and the ability to lead complex system initiatives while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Technical Analyst supporting retail merchandising systems.
  • Strong experience with cloud-based Merchandising, PLM, Planning, Allocation, and Oracle Retail Suite applications, including Merchandising, Pricing, and Invoice Management (version 19+ preferred).
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, documenting functional specifications, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of merchandising system integrations, reporting, dashboards, and application administration.
  • Experience supporting testing activities, troubleshooting production issues, and managing system enhancements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills with experience mentoring junior analysts and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
