Software Engineer (Android)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer (Android) based in Brazil.

As a Software Engineer (Android), you will develop and enhance mobile applications with a strong focus on user experience and software quality. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and deliver new features. The role combines hands-on Android development with testing, debugging, API integration, and continuous technical improvement. You will have opportunities to stay current with emerging mobile technologies and contribute technical insights during planning and review sessions. Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement features for Android applications, focusing on performance, reliability, usability, and user experience.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define, design, and deliver new mobile capabilities.

• Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and external services.

• Perform application testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high code quality.

• Participate in planning and review meetings, providing technical insights and recommendations for improvements.

• Stay current with new Android technologies, mobile development practices, and industry trends.

• Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes, engineering practices, and application quality.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience developing Android applications.

• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin.

• Familiarity with Git and modern version-control practices.

• Experience working with RESTful APIs and service integrations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach technical challenges creatively and efficiently.

• Good communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.

• Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desirable.

• Experience with iOS development is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.

• Experience with automated testing and DevOps practices is desirable.

• Experience contributing to large-scale applications or high-demand environments is a plus.

• Participation in technology groups or professional communities is desirable.
