This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a IT Project Manager – AI/Clinical Analytics / Project Manager based in United States.

This role leads complex technology initiatives at the intersection of artificial intelligence, clinical analytics, and life sciences. You will manage projects from early ideation through production release, working closely with data science, engineering, product, clinical, and IT teams. The position combines AI/ML delivery with clinical analytical platforms and broader IT project management responsibilities. You will translate scientific and clinical needs into structured plans while ensuring projects meet privacy, data integrity, validation, and regulatory requirements. Success requires strong coordination across technical and non-technical stakeholders, vendors, and leadership. Accountabilities:

  • Manage the full delivery lifecycle of AI-enabled products and features, coordinating data science, engineering, and product teams from ideation through production release.
  • Coordinate AI/ML development, validation, and deployment milestones, including data readiness, testing, monitoring, and ongoing model management.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement projects for clinical analytics solutions, including clinical reporting, dashboarding platforms, and statistical computing environments.
  • Translate clinical and scientific requirements into actionable project plans in collaboration with clinical operations, medical reviewers, data management, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure AI and clinical analytics initiatives comply with applicable data privacy, data integrity, and regulatory requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • Lead end-to-end IT projects covering scope, planning, resourcing, budgeting, execution, risk management, and project closeout using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RACI matrices, RAID logs, status reports, and other governance documentation.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and driving timely resolution.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, vendor commitments, and contractual deliverables.
  • Coordinate teams across IT infrastructure, application development, data and analytics, and quality assurance.
  • Facilitate governance activities including steering committee updates, change control, and stage-gate reviews.
  • Ensure projects follow IT change management, validation, documentation, GxP, and SDLC standards.
  • Manage vendor and system integrator relationships, including statements of work, deliverables, and performance tracking.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT projects across infrastructure, applications, data, or analytics, with strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing AI or machine learning initiatives from development through deployment, including familiarity with model validation, MLOps concepts, and responsible AI and data governance principles.
  • Proficiency using AI productivity tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to support project planning and delivery.
  • Experience with clinical analytical solutions or platforms within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or broader life sciences environments.
  • Familiarity with clinical data standards and systems such as EDC and CTMS, as well as the regulatory environment governing clinical analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, validation, compliance, and regulated technology environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills, particularly when working through ambiguity.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, forecasts, and project commitments.
  • Experience with Spotfire, Maxis AI, Veeva, and BOX is preferred.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.
