About Augex
Augex is building an AI agent marketplace that enables experts to package their knowledge into deployable AI agents, allowing businesses to automate complex work without hiring additional specialists. Our platform is live with real customers, and we're looking for our first full-time Product Designer to help define the user experience, visual identity, and design foundation for the next generation of AI-powered work. The Opportunity
As our Founding Product Designer, you'll own the end-to-end product experience—from user research and information architecture to polished interfaces and implementation reviews. You'll work directly with the founders and engineering team to design intuitive, elegant experiences for an AI-native platform while establishing the design standards that will shape the company's future. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in an early-stage startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user experiences for web-based AI products.
- Create intuitive user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system and reusable component library.
- Partner closely with founders and engineering throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback.
- Review implementations to ensure design quality and consistency.
- Improve usability, accessibility, and overall customer experience across the platform.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of Product Design, UX/UI Design, or related experience.
- An outstanding portfolio demonstrating shipped digital products.
- Strong expertise in UX, UI, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
- Experience designing SaaS, B2B, marketplace, workflow, or AI products.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems.
- Proficiency with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
- Strong collaboration skills with product managers and engineers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing AI, workflow automation, or marketplace platforms.
- Experience as a Founding Designer or first design hire.
- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility, and motion design.
- Understanding of frontend development constraints and implementation.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate the design process.
