Description

REQUIRED:  Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph LOCATION:  Full-time onsite in Chantilly, VA area

We’re seeking a Machine Learning Engineer ready to build production‑grade solutions on OpenLake—someone who can navigate complex data environments, develop and deploy scalable pipelines, and deliver web applications that stand up in real‑world mission operations. In this role, you’ll design AI/ML capabilities that answer high‑value intelligence questions, work hands‑on with technologies like Elasticsearch, Neo4j, Kibana, JavaScript, Trino, Hive, and Apache, and leverage AWS and GPU‑accelerated computing to push performance at scale.     Who We Are: We offer advanced services in data science, data engineering, software engineering, AI solutions, cybersecurity, and IT program management.

Key Responsibilities and Experience needed

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:

  • Working on OpenLake.
  • Navigating, developing, and deploying production ready data pipelines and web applications on OpenLake.
  • Developing AI/ML solutions that can answer key intelligence questions.
  • Uusing Elasticsearch, Neo4j, Kibana, JavaScript, Trino, Apache Hive, and Apache.
  • Leveraging Amazon Web Services for automation, app deployment, and resource management.
  • Leveraging GPUs for accelerated computing.
  • Working with junior data scientists, data engineers, and application developers.
  • Managing and developing system accreditation and security relevant documentation.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Developing deliverables at scale, and not one-off solutions.

Highly Desired Qualifications

Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include working with:

  • Amazon Web Services certifications.
  • Sponsor A&A processes.
  • Working with a variety of the Sponsor's data systems and sources.
  • Knowledge in the Sponsor's Data Management principles and workflows.

OTHER RELEVANT TECHNOLOGIES/TOOLS Experience with:

  • Working closely with the Sponsor's technical team (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Application Developers, and Data Management Coordinators) to implement requirements as dictated by the Sponsor's GTM priorities.
  • Creating resilient data engineering pipelines that leverage open-source technologies such as, Trino, Iceberg, SQL, Postgres, Spark, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, Apache Hive and integrate seamlessly within OpenLake.
  • Developing robust web applications utilizing modem web frameworks such as React and Node on the Sponsor's OpenLake platform.
  • Providing technical guidance to the Sponsor's technical team on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on AI/ML, web application development, and ETL.
  • Ensuring that all technical development and content complies with the Sponsor's security policies and regulations.
  • Utilizing project management systems such as Confluence and JIRA to define and track requirements.
  • Maintaining all code, to include infrastructure, in GitHub, which can be readily accessible to the Sponsor.
  • Maintaining all cloud infrastructure and system accreditation associated with the OpenLake platform and production applications developed on the platform.
