This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Financial Data & Systems Analyst based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to combine financial expertise, data management, and technology to strengthen strategic decision-making across a growing organization. The Senior Financial Data & Systems Analyst will play a key role in enhancing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and automation capabilities. You will design and optimize financial data models, systems, and processes that improve accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency. Working closely with finance, analytics, and business stakeholders, you will transform complex data into actionable insights that support long-term growth. The position requires a balance of technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and financial acumen to develop innovative solutions. Accountabilities: The Senior Financial Data & Systems Analyst will strengthen financial operations by developing scalable data solutions, optimizing planning systems, and improving reporting capabilities. The role combines financial analysis, system management, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support effective business planning.

  • Design, develop, and maintain financial planning models, templates, automations, and reporting solutions within the FP&A platform.
  • Support core financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, valuations, projections, variance analysis, and investor reporting.
  • Build and maintain a connected financial data ecosystem by integrating information from multiple operational and financial source systems.
  • Develop and enhance financial data models that improve reporting accuracy, planning agility, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Partner with analytics and finance teams to translate business requirements into scalable, automated solutions.
  • Create advanced reporting templates, workforce planning models, and scenario-based analysis tools to support strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain data governance practices, validation processes, documentation standards, and reporting controls.
  • Improve finance technology capabilities by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and workflow improvements.
  • Support the evolution of financial systems and processes to meet organizational growth and increasing complexity.
  • Collaborate with leadership and business stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations based on financial and operational data.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines financial analysis expertise with strong technical capabilities in data modeling, automation, and enterprise planning systems. They should be comfortable working independently, managing complex projects, and communicating insights to both technical and business audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of progressive experience in finance, financial systems, analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling, Power Query, and VBA/macros.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience designing and maintaining relational and dimensional data models.
  • Experience developing solutions within enterprise FP&A platforms such as Vena, Anaplan, Planful, Pigment, or similar technologies.
  • Experience implementing, administering, or optimizing financial planning and performance management systems.
  • Proven ability to integrate data from multiple source systems into reliable, scalable reporting solutions.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business partners and senior leadership.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively with finance, technology, and business teams.
