Business Intelligence Analyst

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and analytics solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related data platform tools. Work closely with business stakeholders, business teams, and IT teams to deliver data-driven insights, trusted metrics, and reports that support strategic decision making and performance improvement.

This is a hybrid role. Applicants need to be local to Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models that meet business requirements and follow best practices

• Manage and optimize the performance, security, and scalability of Power BI solutions

• Provide guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to business users, citizen developers, and other report developers

• Perform end user training and citizen developer training as needed

• Partner with data integration and platform teams to support reliable datasets, pipelines, lake house/warehouse structures, and reporting-ready data models

• Conduct data analysis, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of Power BI outputs and business metrics

• Develop semantic models, certified metrics, and KPI definitions that are clearly documented, business-aligned, and validated against source data

• Develop and maintain documentation and standards for Power BI development, Microsoft Fabric usage, semantic models, metrics, and reporting solutions

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and data analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience

• At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing Power BI or similar business intelligence solutions

• Expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, M, and Power Query

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, semantic modeling, and data visualization concepts and techniques

• Proficiency in SQL and experience validating data across source systems, semantic models, and reports

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, Power Platform, or similar cloud-based analytics platforms preferred

• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• PL-300 certification preferred

• Ability to perform job related duties as assigned

This role requires regular, ongoing in-office presence. Employees are expected to work onsite, which includes non-company locations where we conduct business, the majority of the time to support collaboration, productivity, and business operations according to the schedule set by supervisors and/or branch management.
