As the Principal Manager-Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital transformation journey of Kotak Group. Your mission is to enhance customer experience by delivering superior banking services through innovative technology solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software developers, ensuring effective project execution and success.
- Build an annual execution plan for your product, defining the product vision and success metrics.
- Own and drive high-quality delivery using distributed computing technologies.
- Perform code reviews, design, and maintain high code quality standards.
- Focus on operational excellence to deliver an optimal customer experience.
- Provide technical program management leadership, coordinating with various teams and partners.
- Promote and coach Agile ways of working, ensuring efficient collaboration and development practices.
- Define and implement non-functional requirements, ensuring software compliance and risk management.
- Lead defect and bug triage, tracking issues to closure, and providing progress updates to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with India Stack, open banking, and RBI regulations to address technical dependencies.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 12-18 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage and coach cross-functional teams.
- Customer-centric approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proven track record of leading software development teams, preferably in a product company.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java/Python, RDBMS, NoSQL DBs, and distributed caching.
- Understanding of SDLC and managing dependencies with enterprise teams is an advantage.
- Knowledge of India Stack, open banking, and RBI regulations is desirable.
- Certification in AI, programming languages, or software technology is preferred.
- Ability to structure, organize, and streamline team communication and collaboration.
- Experience in defining and optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is beneficial.
