Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer II, Embedded Software Design to lead and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of embedded products for industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware architectures, firmware designs, platforms, requirements management, development, products development with protocols, hardware software integration, and product lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities

  • Protocols Development: Design and develop embedded industrial protocols like

ProfiNet, EtherNet, for industrial products

  • Product Development: Design and develop embedded systems for industrial,

consumer or IoT products with protection algorithms

  • Firmware Design: Develop, test, and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and

embedded processors.

  • Hardware Integration: Collaborate with hardware teams for board bring-up,

debugging, and validation.

  • Testing & Validation: Implement unit tests, integration tests, and automated

validation frameworks.

  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and

compliance reports.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and

software teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

  • Product Lifecycle: Support production, field deployment, and post-launch

maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or

related field.

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Firmware architecture experience for industrial products with connectivity
  • Experience with RTOS, Linux, device drivers, and low-level programming.
  • Knowledge of Industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP,

EtherNet IP, ProfiNet, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, etc.).

  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M/A, DSPs, or similar architectures.

Public

  • Tools & Platforms:
  • Embedded IDEs (Keil, IAR, GCC, etc.).
  • Debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers).
  • Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Additional:
  • Experience in product development cycles and DFMEA.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and compliance.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Linux-based embedded systems.
  • Experience with wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa).
  • Familiarity with cloud integration and IoT platforms.
  • Knowledge of power optimization and battery management.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead small teams.
