Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at our team at Jamestown Engine Plant. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the plant’s financial performance through accurate analysis, reporting, and cross-functional partnership with operational leadership. You will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, including managing at least three hourly employees, while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring five or more years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating strong technical expertise and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights. Additionally, candidates should be working toward or willing to obtain a CMA or CPA licensure, reflecting a commitment to continued professional growth and excellence in financial leadership.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Deliver Advanced Financial Analysis: Prepare complex financial analyses and detailed reports that support informed decision-making for department leadership.
- Provide Actionable Management Insights: Develop ad hoc analyses, management reports, and special studies that translate financial data into clear, practical insights.
- Partner on Budget Development: Collaborate closely with assigned organizational units to build annual budgets aligned with strategic and operational goals.
- Support Forecasting and Planning: Create expense, staffing, and operational forecasts that help leaders proactively manage resources and performance.
- Drive Financial and Statistical Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial and statistical reports, including performance metrics, trend analysis, and key indicators.
- Explain Variances and Cost Drivers: Analyze financial results to identify variances, provide clear explanations, and highlight underlying cost drivers.
- Ensure Data Accuracy and Consistency: Maintain the integrity of financial data through thorough review, reconciliation, and standardized reporting practices.
- Develop Talent and Capability: Coach and guide less-experienced Financial Analysts, supporting their technical growth and understanding of financial best practices.
