Tasks
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Develop software across distributed services running on Microsoft Azure — Azure experience is a must.
- Work with Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog and serverless capabilities on Azure — this is a must-have requirement.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.
- Work with Docker in production environments.
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and participate in code reviews, planning, and architecture discussions.
- Use SQLAlchemy for database access, ORM, and data modeling.
- Develop and maintain asynchronous and scheduled background tasks using Celery.
What we are looking for?
- Strong commercial experience in Python backend development at a senior level.
- Mandatory: hands-on experience developing software across distributed services in Microsoft Azure.
- Mandatory: practical experience with Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog and serverless capabilities on Azure.
- Mandatory: strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and services.
- Proven experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI and/or Django.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Practical experience working with Docker in production environments.
- Practical experience with SQLAlchemy, including ORM, database sessions, queries, and data modeling.
- Experience with Celery for asynchronous processing, background jobs, and scheduled tasks.
Additional Expected Skills
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle, or very good knowledge of other relational databases.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and serverless computing on Azure.
- Experience with cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Version control proficiency with Git and experience with collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud and backend environments.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and communicate effectively in English.
- Kubernetes experience is a plus.
