About NextRow

NextRow Digital is a consulting firm headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois. Applied AI is the center of our growth strategy: we help enterprise clients put AI to work in their marketing and operations, from AI-assisted campaign and content operations to keeping brands visible as search shifts to AI-driven discovery. That work rests on more than a decade of digital experience and marketing technology delivery, with deep specialization across the Adobe stack, including AEM, Marketo Engage, Workfront, Customer Journey Analytics, and Journey Optimizer. Our largest client relationships are in life sciences, and the delivery team behind them is growing.

The role

We are hiring a Technical Delivery Manager to own day-to-day delivery across two to three of our life sciences accounts, anchored by a Fortune 100 biopharmaceutical client. The projects span the Adobe stack: AEM platform and site work, marketing operations on Marketo Engage, work management on Workfront, and analytics, with applied AI increasingly woven through all of it.

The job is simple to state and hard to do: what we committed to in each statement of work is what gets delivered, on time and at quality, by blended US and India teams, to clients who stay satisfied. You will meet with client managers every week, most often at the anchor account, which is why this role is based in the Chicago area, and you will work day to day with the Client Partner and our practice leads.

This role has no sales quota and no selling responsibility. Growth on these accounts is owned by a Client Partner. That said, delivery people hear about new initiatives and pain points before anyone else does, and we expect you to pass what you hear to our sales team with enough context to act on. Spotting an opportunity is part of the job; closing it is someone else’s.

This is not a remote position. You will be at the client’s offices regularly, so we are only considering candidates already living in, or independently relocating to, greater Chicago.

What you will do

•      Own delivery across two to three accounts at once, keeping each SOW tracked: scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and change control, flagging deviations while they are still cheap to fix.

•      Own project timelines: keep plans honest, surface slippage risk early, and bring a recovery plan along with the warning.

•      Run the weekly status and steering cadence with client managers and be their first call for anything delivery related.

•      Manage the onshore and offshore resources on your projects: assignments, handoffs between US and India teams, overlap hours, and consistent quality across shores.

•      Own client satisfaction at the project level, handle escalations end to end, and deliver bad news early with a plan.

•      Watch for expansion signals across your accounts, such as upcoming initiatives, budget cycles, and problems adjacent to our work, and brief our sales team so they can pursue them.

•      Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination, and report delivery health internally in numbers.

What success looks like

•      By month 3: you run the delivery cadence, a deliverable tracker maps every commitment in the SOW to its status, and client managers treat you as their go-to contact.

•      By month 6: no milestone slips without advance warning and a recovery plan already in motion, and US-to-India handoffs run without the client noticing a seam.

•      By month 12: client satisfaction is strong enough to reference, and you have handed our sales team several opportunity signals worth pursuing.

What you bring

•      Seven or more years delivering digital experience (DX) solutions, including three or more years managing delivery teams. Adobe stack experience (AEM, Marketo Engage, Workfront, Analytics) is strongly preferred.

•      Hands-on experience managing blended onshore and offshore teams, ideally with India-based delivery, and the handoff discipline that makes it work.

•      A track record of delivering against SOWs for enterprise clients, including running multiple accounts or concurrent projects without letting any of them coast: scope management, change control, and deliverable acceptance are familiar ground.

•      Comfort in weekly client-facing meetings at the manager level, including the ones where the news is not good.

•      Experience in regulated industries such as pharma or life sciences is a plus, as is a PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification.

•      Living in the greater Chicago area, with the ability to be on site with the client regularly. Please apply only if you are local or already planning to relocate.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary range: $130,000 to $155,000, plus an annual bonus tied to delivery performance and client satisfaction. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and paid time off and holidays.

Equal opportunity

NextRow Digital is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
