As Product Director, Payment Rails at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial & Investment Banking, you will own the product direction and outcomes for core payment rails across India. You will define a multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap across global clearing, Automated Clearing House payments, foreign exchange payment flows, and disbursements. You will balance client value, resiliency, regulatory and risk considerations, and modernization priorities to deliver measurable improvements. You will partner with technology, operations, finance, and governance stakeholders to align investment decisions, sequencing, and delivery commitments. You will establish clear measures of success and accountability for outcomes across the product lifecycle.

This role is accountable for improving the performance and stability of core payment platforms while accelerating modernization and reducing operational risk. The position requires a leader who can translate client and operational needs into prioritized product initiatives and clear outcomes. You will drive transparency on trade-offs, dependencies, and sequencing across multiple platforms and stakeholder groups. You will also ensure governance expectations are met through disciplined planning, risk management, and measurable value realization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for product delivery across Global Clearing, ACH, FX, and Disbursements, aligned to platform modernization and business growth objectives.
  • Own and drive execution of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and customer needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across the full product lifecycle, from ideation through delivery and ongoing enhancement.
  • Manage demand and capacity across Core Rails platforms, aligning stakeholders on priorities and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with Product Management, Technology, and Finance to plan and maintain a rolling multi-quarter (6Q) roadmap.
  • Identify and manage cross-platform dependencies and integration risks to accelerate delivery and reduce duplication.
  • Lead incident management and root cause analysis, ensuring rapid resolution of production issues and improved platform stability.
  • Drive adoption of Agile, DevOps, automated testing, and cloud-native practices to improve delivery efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify and implement AI and ML opportunities to automate processes, enhance decision-making, and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Translate business and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for technology teams.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data-driven insights to enhance product performance and operational efficiency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in product delivery, technology, or payments, with a proven track record in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Deep experience working with large-scale technology platforms within Financial Services or established FinTech environments
  • Strong technical foundation (e.g., software engineering, distributed systems, or data platforms) with the ability to engage in architectural and delivery discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of product lifecycle practices, including strategic planning, execution, and value realization
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple functions, geographies, and seniority levels
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts, risks, and priorities to senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on identifying and implementing practical improvements
  • Experience leading in matrixed environments and aligning diverse stakeholders to common delivery outcomes
