Assistant/ Deputy Project Manager - Rail (WA)

We're growing our WA Rail team and are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to help deliver some of Australia's most significant rail and transport infrastructure projects.
Working alongside technical specialists, Senior Project Managers and Project Directors, you'll lead multidisciplinary project teams, build strong client relationships, and help deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
What you'll do
- Assist the Project Manager in leading the delivery of rail and transport infrastructure projects across WA.
- Assist in managing project scope, programme, budget, risk, and commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Assist in the coordination of multidisciplinary teams across engineering, design, and advisory services.
- Support project governance, reporting, and quality assurance requirements.
- Contribute to work winning activities including proposals, bids, and client engagement.
About you
- Ideally between 2-7 years of experience managing engineering, infrastructure or transport projects within a consulting, client-side, or contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of project delivery principles, contracts, and commercial management.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders, with PTA/METRONET experience highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience delivering rail projects is highly regarded, however candidates from broader transport or infrastructure sectors are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
