Job Description

Who we are looking for:

The Global Client Implementation (“GCI”) department drives the successful execution of initiatives for external clients onboarding on our Front-to-Back platforms and CRD.

As part of the Alpha Business Project Management Team, you will drive the execution of strategic initiatives for both internal and external clients of State Street Bank.

You will be responsible for executing programs across the full project lifecycle, overseeing key project deliverables or workstreams, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Why this role is important to us:

The senior analyst role is the analytical backbone of the PMO. It owns the production of all governance reporting, from weekly status updates to board packs and steering decks, and maintains the RAID log with the rigor required to make it a credible governance tool.

The defining characteristic of this role is the ability to transform raw program data into a clear, honest management narrative. Not formatting. Not collating. Genuine analytical translation.

This role requires someone who can credibly challenge senior stakeholders, workstream leads, capability teams and client contacts and who has sufficient domain understanding to know when data reported or statuses does not reflect reality.

Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.

What you will be responsible for

  • Program Planning – maintain heat map MI (Management Information) and transform JIRA data into progress reports for different stakeholder levels.
  • Reporting & Board Materials – structures and writes all governance packs; owns the narrative quality; challenges the PMO Lead if content is unclear or inaccurate.
  • Produce client-facing MI and performance reports; flag slippage against target dates and key milestones proactively.
  • Risk, Issues, and Escalation – maintain the RAID log, score risks, and produce RAID summaries for governance packs.
  • Chair cross-workstream coordination forums and resolve blockers that cannot be addressed at the workstream level.
  • Ensure Alpha processes, procedures, and controls align with expected corporate behavior, comply with compliance standards and support corporate risk excellence standards that will facilitate clean audits.
  • Drive continuous process reviews and recommend improvements to senior management including SteerCo / Joint SteerCo coordination and stakeholder management
  • Interact with the full Alpha business project organization, business and corporate functions, and Alpha IT project organization regarding portfolio management.
  • Ensure adherence to the relevant frameworks and procedures established for portfolio management.
  • Coordinate deep dives into business requirements to ensure they are exhaustive and clear to all parties involved.
  • Define and execute project governance. Executive reporting and dashboard preparation
  • Perform administrative tasks as required, including budget management, resource allocation, and resource monitoring.
  • Support project documentation and reporting tasks.
  • Vendor Management – Execute vendor management activities related to SOWs, resource onboarding, resource tracking, budgeting, forecasting, invoice reconciliation, milestone tracking.
  • Clarity timesheets – Ensure teams submit timesheets and they are tied to project financials, and manage deal deferrals with the corporate accounting team.

What we value

  • JIRA and Confluence proficiency – comfortable maintaining trackers and dashboards, not just querying them.
  • Executive writing – able to craft a management narrative that is concise, accurate and decision-oriented.
  • MI design skills – experience with Power BI, Excel or equivalent; designs reports for usability, not completeness.
  • Able to work under time pressure without compromising accuracy – governance deadlines are non-negotiable.
  • Risk management framework knowledge – understands qualitative and quantitative risk scoring.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple simultaneous tasks and projects in a high-pressure, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Good understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and technical capabilities, with excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in handling business deliverables, such as requirements specifications, operating models, and risk and governance frameworks.
  • Adopt common PMO standards, templates, controls and best practice

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced project management skills supported by relevant credentials, such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent certification.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience managing business projects in large, global financial services organizations or consulting firms.
  • Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, and Asset Servicing.
  • Adherence to SLA timelines and KPI metrics as defined.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Visio and MS Project.
