Position Summary : This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
- Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
- Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
- Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Java/J2EE Developer utilizing technologies such as Spring, Apache Camel, CXF, MuleSoft, RESTful Services, and SOAP Services.
- Proven ability to work as a self-motivated individual contributor while effectively managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
- Experience working directly with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, objectives, and expectations.
- Strong ability to analyze business and technical requirements, participate in requirements gathering sessions, and proactively clarify ambiguities.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing Middleware API Services and integration solutions.
- Ability to evaluate technical challenges and recommend scalable, efficient, and supportable solution designs.
- Experience creating technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and development specifications.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile development practices.
- Experience participating in Agile ceremonies, story refinement, estimation, sprint planning, and delivery activities.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, component integration testing, system integration testing, and production implementation activities.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical discussions and collaborate with distributed/onshore technology teams.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to proactively track tasks to completion and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Experience supporting code deployments, release activities, post-production validation, and defect resolution.
- Demonstrated experience developing large-scale, enterprise-grade, multi-threaded applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and resiliency.
- Strong experience with relational database technologies, including DB2, SQL development, data modeling, and complex query optimization.
- Ability to integrate data, application, and business architecture components into end-to-end technology solutions.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to support global teams and work across varying schedules or shifts as business needs require.
