Details of the position:

This role is focused on executing strategic data extraction from EFX databases, using proprietary systems, in close collaboration with the Project Manager, and internal stakeholders. The core mission consists of delivering high-precision, customized datasets to external clients therefore, understanding project requirements and translating them into the right processing approach is crucial.

  • Data Extraction and Refinement: Obtaining raw data from proprietary and relational sources.
  • Data Enrichment: Incorporating specific financial scores and attributes.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Ensuring 100% accuracy in client deliverables.
  • Project Documentation: Maintaining audit trails for customized datasets

The work is project based, with SLAs, and an assigned project manager. The workflow involves understanding requirements, ensuring all necessary inputs are available, running the processes in internal tools, and sending them out.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze and understand project requirements to make informed delivery assessments.
  • Extract and enrich data using a variety of proprietary tools.
  • Perform quality control and deliver data to our customers.
  • Create concise documentation for each project.
  • Work with multiple groups within the organization to ensure project success.
  • Recommend and implement improvements on new and existing projects.
  • Participate in collaborative efforts like brainstorming, learnings documenting or knowledge reinforcement with other team members.

What experience you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, computer science, math, statistics or accounting.
  • Language proficiency: English B2+
  • 1+ Years of proven experience working with relational databases.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as required by the business, particularly during critical periods such as project deadlines, month-end, and quarterly closings.

Internal Employees:

  • No disciplinary actions within the last 3 months, before and during the recruitment process and not being a part of a PIP.
  • Minimum 1 year in the current position.
  • Currently enrolled as a 2nd-year University student in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or Accounting.  

What could set you apart:

  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience working with data dictionaries and layouts.
  • Experience working with multiple file types and formats including fixed block and variable block.
  • Experience working with file encoding including ASCII, UTF, EBCDIC, and UNICODE.
  • Knowledge or experience in Linux, Perl, SQL, XML, Python or SAS.
  • Attention to details and having high-quality as in ingrained mentality in day to day work.
