DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an understanding of all shipping procedures including options, rates and accessorial charges
  • Oversee and update shipping options
  • Analyze and review shipping systems to update systems as needed
  • Maintains all freight options in UNIX
  • Develops charge scale and structure for shipping charges based on item attributes, destinations, shipping method, etc.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and mange pricing accordingly
  • Utilize freight cost data in a feedback loop to ensure accurate and appropriate pricing
  • Ensure integration for shipping programs (rate shopping, free shipping, etc.)
  • Creates new shipping methods and services for internal needs or new logistics partners
  • Oversee day-to-day operations: handling new items, changes in the system and mistakes
  • Fix issues or Communicate and/or collaborate with other departments when necessary

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Understanding of Supply Chain/Procurement processes, procedures, and best practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
