Job purpose

We are looking for a motivated engineering professional with passion to controls hardware and software to join our Controls & Automation Software Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As an OT/IT DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate closely with multiple teams across the globe, supporting the development and maintenance of control systems for our subsea control platforms.

The main function of this role is to design, implement, and maintain OT/IT infrastructure, automation solutions, and DevOps practices that support the development and operation of our subsea control platforms. At this level, the candidate is expected to contribute to the definition and implementation of deployment, monitoring, security, and operational strategies, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Job descripton

  • Design, deploy, and maintain OT/IT development and test environments
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE)
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software build, deployment, and testing
  • Support integration between OT systems and enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Manage source control systems and DevOps toolchains
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment configuration
  • Support network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Implement infrastructure monitoring and logging solutions
  • Collaborate with software developers and test engineers to improve development efficiency
  • Support system integration, deployment, and commissioning activities
  • Participate in cybersecurity hardening of OT environments
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Support containerized and virtualized application deployments
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure and environment-related issues

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

Technical skills

  • Python or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Git and version control workflows
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar)
  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE)
  • Understanding of networking concepts:
  • TCP/IP
  • VLANs
  • Routing
  • Firewalls
  • VPNs
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and network issues
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation concepts
  • Understanding software development lifecycle and DevOps practices

The Following Would Be an Advantage:

  • Knowledge of OT/IT integration architectures
  • Experience with industrial automation system
  • Understanding of industrial network protocols
  • Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity standards
  • Experience with SCADA, PLC, or industrial control systems
  • Cloud experience

Please note that this role requires to work min 4 days/week from our office in Krakow
