Full description

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing eCommerce Data team! Based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire!

The Role:

As a Senior Data Analyst focusing on Marketing Sciences, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between data and commercial strategy. You will work within DataBricks and Google Cloud Platform, partnering closely with the marketing, personalisation and commercial teams.

In this role, it will be your responsibility to deliver data driven insights and robust measurement strategies to optimize our marketing efforts, product recommendations, and overall customer experience. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical background in customer behaviour and experimentation, paired with great communication skills to present actionable findings to various stakeholders.

What You’ll Take On:

  • Work with teams from around the business to understand commercial opportunities and gather requirements for analytical projects.
  • Interrogate large volumes of data from a range of sources - including transactional, demographic and online - to uncover trends and build detailed customer profiles.
  • Develop customer segmentations and deliver actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness and target audiences.
  • Present campaign performance, analytical findings, and strategic recommendations to a range of non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively identify data-driven opportunities for personalisation and improvements to the customer journey.

What You’ll Bring:

  • You must have a background in marketing analytics, customer segmentation, campaign measurement, or similar.
  • You will have experience analysing digital customer journeys, marketing effectiveness, personalisation strategies, or similar.
  • You will have strong data querying and manipulation skills using SQL and Python.
  • Previous experience working within an eCommerce or digital marketing environment would be highly beneficial.
  • Have excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear commercial stories for various audiences.
  • You will have good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing analysis and experimental design is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Databricks and BigQuery would be advantageous.
