Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Lead with 3–5 years of experience and proven team leadership to drive the quality assurance function for our software products. The role involves manual and automation testing, team leadership, performance validation, and QA process improvement, ensuring high-quality and reliable product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & QA Ownership
- Lead
and mentor the QA team, ensuring quality and timely execution.
- Define
QA strategies, standards, and release benchmarks.
- Collaborate
with developers and product teams to align testing with business goals.
2. Test Planning & Execution
- Design
and review test plans, test cases, and test scripts across functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Ensure
complete test coverage and oversee manual and automated testing activities.
3. Automation, Code Quality & Process Improvement
- Develop
and maintain automation frameworks and scripts.
- Review
automation scripts and test code to ensure code quality, readability, reusability, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate
with developers in reviewing code changes from a testability and quality perspective.
- Drive
continuous improvement in QA processes and promote a quality-first culture.
4. Defect Management & Reporting
- Log,
track, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA.
- Perform
root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution.
- Share test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics with
stakeholders.
5. Performance & Reliability Testing
- Conduct performance, load, regression, and stability testing.
- Ensure
software performs reliably under real-world conditions.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain
clear documentation of test cases, results, and defects.
- Ensure
adherence to SDLC, STLC, and QA standards.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
Experience
- 3–5
years in Software Testing / QA.
- Prior
experience in a QA Lead / Senior QA role with team handling.
- Exposure
to AI, machine vision, or data-intensive systems is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong
expertise in manual testing and test case design.
- Solid
understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
- Hands-on
experience with automation tools:
- Selenium,
Appium, JMeter
- Proficiency
in:
- Python
/ JavaScript (C++ is a plus)
- Experience
with:
- JIRA,
TestRail or similar tools
- Strong
knowledge of:
- Functional,
Regression, Integration, System, API, and Performance Testing
- Experience
in test code review, coding standards, and maintaining readable, scalable automation scripts
- Performance
testing experience using JMeter (LoadRunner is a plus)
