This role leads complex electrical construction projects from initial scope evaluation through safe and successful completion.You will combine project planning, estimating, financial management, and onsite execution to deliver high-quality results.Working closely with clients, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams, you will translate requirements into clear project plans.The position offers significant ownership across scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, quality, and contractual commitments.You will also contribute to proposal development, process improvement, and continuous operational excellence.As a highly visible project leader, you will play an important role in maintaining strong client relationships and project profitability.The position is approximately 75% travel and is suited to an experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced, safety-critical environments.

Accountabilities
- Evaluate RFQs, conduct site walk-downs, develop scopes of work, and contribute to proposal development, resource planning, budgeting, and execution strategies.
- Lead assigned projects from concept through close-out, establishing clear scope, cost, schedule, milestones, and performance baselines.
- Coordinate project activities with clients, owners, subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage schedules, budgets, technical specifications, change orders, scope activities, and contractual requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate the transmission, review, and approval of project submittals between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project performance against established plans, identify and manage risks, and provide accurate reporting on cost, schedule, scope, and progress.
- Take responsibility for project financial performance, including project P&L, budget management, reconciliation, and close-out activities.
- Lead project close-out processes, including final documentation, reconciliation, lessons learned, and reporting.
- Provide onsite project leadership and supervise project management administrative staff when applicable, including coaching, training, performance feedback, and employee development.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and colleagues while ensuring expectations and deliverables are clearly communicated.
- Support ISO 9001 initiatives, internal audits, risk assessments, corrective actions, and process improvement efforts.
- Maintain high standards of safety leadership, professionalism, confidentiality, business ethics, and customer service throughout project execution.
- Remain available to respond to urgent project needs and support variable schedules based on project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in power generation services or the industrial electrical industry.
- 3–5 years of experience as an onsite construction Project Manager with direct project P&L responsibility.
- OSHA 30 certification required or the ability to obtain it before starting the role.
- Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, profitability, and commercial performance.
- Experience with project estimating and project management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint/server-based file management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction environments; familiarity with medium-voltage bus duct systems and transformer components is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing union personnel and working effectively with diverse project teams.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, writing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet critical project deadlines.
- Exceptional client-service skills with the ability to communicate professionally, diplomatically, and effectively with customers, suppliers, employees, and other stakeholders.
- Strong business ethics, accountability, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to represent organizational values consistently and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear facilities.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Willingness to complete a post-offer background check, pre-placement examination, Non-DOT physical, and drug test.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, with approximately 75% travel expected.
