Current Opportunity: Business Intelligence Analyst
Term: 1 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT Location: Remote Years of experience: 2-3 years Shift Timing: Monday - Friday 5pm to 2am IST Languages required: English
What you will do:
Mid-level individual contributor who builds and maintains reporting for the Central Business Insights Hub and the data that feeds it. The role combines strong data expertise — importing data from multiple source systems, building ETL and transformation pipelines, and validating and reconciling data for accuracy — with solid data-visualization skills, including a working knowledge of chart and graph types and how to visualize data effectively for a business audience. A core part of the role is using AI to accelerate delivery: generating and prototyping dashboards, visuals, and reporting assets, and applying AI tools to speed up data and visualization work. Familiarity with the GCP infrastructure is an asset. The specialist works to the designs and standards set by the senior team, contributing across the hub’s reporting domains.
Responsibilities:
- Data & ETL: Import and integrate data from multiple source systems — including Salesforce, Workday, 6Sense, Finance systems, Symphoni, and SAP/HR — and build and maintain ETL and transformation pipelines that produce trusted, refreshable, reporting-ready data.
- Data validation & quality: Validate and reconcile data for accuracy and completeness, run QA checks before release, and troubleshoot data issues so reporting stays trustworthy.
- Data visualization: Build clear, effective dashboards and reports, selecting the right chart and graph types for the data and audience and applying sound data-visualization and UX practice across the hub’s reporting domains.
- Reporting delivery: Build and maintain reporting in Tableau, Looker Studio, and Google Apps Script dashboards — using Apps Script for rapid build-and-publish reporting and Tableau or Looker Studio where larger data volumes require a more scalable engine.
- AI-assisted development: Use AI tools to generate and prototype dashboards, visuals, and reporting assets, and to accelerate data and visualization work, while meeting the team’s quality and governance standards.
- Automation: Build and maintain automation using Google Apps Script / JavaScript and Google Sheets — refresh, consolidation, and delivery workflows — and support pipelines in the GCP environment where applicable.
- Intake & iteration: Take on new reporting requests and re-cuts of existing reports, run and monitor scheduled refreshes, and fix broken views or data connections.
- Standards & documentation: Work to the architecture and specifications set by the senior team, follow visual/UX, naming, and governance standards, and document what you build.
Qualifications/Skills:• 3–4 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data / reporting development.
- Hands-on data skills: importing data from multiple sources, building ETL and transformations, and validating and reconciling data for accuracy.
- Solid data-visualization ability, including a working knowledge of chart and graph types and how to present data clearly to a business audience.
- Practical experience using AI tools to generate or accelerate dashboards, visuals, or analysis.
- Comfortable working to specifications and standards set by a senior team, with strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the GCP infrastructure is an asset.
Required Tools & Technical Proficiencies:• BI & visualization: Tableau, Looker Studio, and Google Apps Script dashboards; strong grasp of chart/graph selection and data-visualization practice.
- Data & ETL: SQL, ETL / data transformation, and data validation and reconciliation; Tableau Prep Builder.
- Automation: Google Apps Script / JavaScript and Google Sheets.
- Source systems: experience importing/integrating data from systems such as Salesforce, Workday, 6Sense, Finance systems, Symphoni, and SAP/HR.
- AI-assisted development: hands-on use of AI tools to generate dashboards, visuals, and reporting assets.
- Cloud (asset): familiarity with the GCP infrastructure.
