Job Description
As the Sr. JAVA Developer for Security Technology, you will play a key role in immediate and long-term strategic technical delivery direction for a multi-disciplined team of technical resources. Nurturing culture and facilitating learning and knowledge sharing will be second nature as well as applying your technical know-how to ensure that our platform is on the leading edge of technical delivery practices. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Be a trusted technical partner to the team, helping to solution, size, prioritize, and guide development activities, product maintenance and evolution of the platform.
- The candidate will divide their time across system design, development and deployment (60%), production support and analysis (30%), and documentation (10%)
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software following best practices and coding standards.
- Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on async/await patterns, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with architects and teams to ensure scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Contribute to modernizing legacy systems through API-driven architectures and DevOps practices.
- Work closely with team members and business partners to understand requirements and implement effective solutions
- Take ownership of both tactical and strategic solutions aligned with system roadmap initiatives
- Proactively identify system inefficiencies and propose solutions to stakeholders
- Follow SDLC best practices by supporting metrics, test-driven development, release cycles, change management, and cross-functional communication
- Document system design, solution proposals, and release notes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Be responsible for delivering and deploying features to production, ensuring quality controls are in place. Work with your team to harden, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues in production.
- Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market, and enabling continuous delivery
- Provide hands-on development support to the team in the form of code reviews or code contributions when needed
- Champion a diverse and inclusive team culture
